Technique for viewing pseudoaneurysms with echocardiographic left ventricular contrast!
Apical echocardiography was observed in a patient with a small apical pseudoaneurysm.
Upper: Note the spherical echo space at the apex of the left ventricle. Acoustic contrast has blurred the muscles of the left and right ventricles.
Below: Frame of one cardiac cycle. Note the presence of a small amount of contrast (arrow) in the cavity, confirming the information with the left ventricular cavity.
