Wounds, scars and keloids:

Most skin lesions can cause scarring or keloids. In response to these injuries, the body attempts to repair the wound in four main stages: inflammation, proliferation, shrinkage, and regeneration. Unfortunately, this healing process increases scar formation.

Typically, scars have no hair follicles and sweat glands, are less elastic than the original skin, and tend to be lighter in color.

Scars can be classified as hypertrophic scars (elevated scars within the original wound), keloid scars (elevated scars that tend to extend beyond the extent of the original wound) and concave scars ( scars may be sunken and hyperpigmented).

Scars develop due to the proliferation of fibroblasts in the wound. Fibroblasts are specialized cells that produce collagen, which then fills and closes the wound. Scars differ from normal skin in their collagen content and the arrangement of these collagen fibers. In normal skin, collagen fibers are arranged in an organized arrangement, most running in the direction of the skin folds and some and a much smaller number running perpendicular to this direction, but in scars the collagen fibers are arranged no organization.

Scar treatment is not easy and it can take several months to smooth and fade scars after injury.

Now, with Hiruscar Silicone Pro, you can rest assured that it will help treat scar problems effectively.

Hiruscar Silicone Pro is a unique silicone gel formulation that has been clinically proven effective for scar management. Silicone gel helps to form a thin film to retain moisture of the skin, through correcting transepidermal water loss, helping to relieve itching and discomfort associated with scarring. The silicone gel also contains stabilized vitamin C to fade scars and skin-friendly vitamin E to aid in scar management.

Hiruscar Silicone Pro is formulated with a unique silicone gel formulation that offers excellent spreadability, quick drying and improved durability to ensure smoothing, softening and fading of scars.

Scars will be observed to become flatter, softer and lighter in color over time. The silicone gel substance forms a protective film from external contact and prevents the invasion of bacteria. Itching can also be alleviated.

Indications and uses

Hiruscar Silicone Pro Gel can be used on scars caused by accidents, surgery, burns or acne, cuts, scratches, insect bites etc. as well as redness or bruises. The product can be used on both new and old scars.

Dosage and Administration

Treatment of scars, for example new scars (up to 3 months) should be started early and as soon as the wound has healed and closed.

After cleaning the area to be applied and patting dry, apply a pea-sized amount to the tip of the scar and gently spread in a thin layer over the entire area in one direction. No need to rub hard on the skin. It is recommended to use a 6mm diameter pea size for an 8cm scar.

Let dry for about 1-2 minutes. Once dry, the area can be covered with makeup or sunscreen if needed.

Apply Hiruscar Silicone Pro gel twice a day (morning and evening).

To protect against scar formation, the product should be applied once the wound is closed.

Hiruscar Silicone Pro gel should be used for 2 months and can be continued as long as improvement is still seen in the scars. For keloid scars, it may take 3-6 months or more to see the full effect of the silicone gel product.

One tube of Hiruscar Silicone Pro 10g gel can be used for about 1.5-2 months on an 8cm scar, and a 4g tube can be used for about 0.5-1 month.
