Pathology of atrophic rhinitis (nasal haemorrhoids)
Nasal atrophy: when the scales are removed, the nasal cavity is wide, the nasal folds, including the lower nose, are atrophy, the mucous membrane is pale, dry.
Also known as Ozen disease is specific atrophic rhinitis that is common, but is increasingly rare.
Mechanical factors: due to congenital wide nasal cavity, or caused by surgery of the lower nose.
Factors of infection: in nasal haemorrhoids are the bacteria Belfanti (pseudo diphtheria), Loewenberg and Perez (causing the stench). But the above bacteria can be found in the nose often.
Hormonal factors: nasal haemorrhoids are common in women, the puberty age when the menstrual disease can increase or decrease, the age of menopause or postpartum disease will decrease.
Atopic factors: sympathetic disorders are common in people with nasal haemorrhoids.

Nasal haemorrhoids are usually quite typical with the following symptoms:
Rotten and fishy breath makes the people around them very uncomfortable.
Loss of smell: patient himself does not smell bad or other odours.
Nasal atrophy: when the scales are removed, the nasal cavity is wide, the nasal folds, including the lower nose are atrophy, the mucous membrane is pale, dry.
Nasal congestion: Although the nasal cavity is wide, the patient has a feeling of stuffy nose (this is a feeling of fake stuffiness).
Nasal syphilis: Scaly but difficult to get, mucous membranes often have pus, nose curl is not atrophy.
Nasal tuberculosis: nasal scales thin, small, yellowish, not rotten.
Take the scales of your nose and wash your nose with a warm dilute solution of carbohydrates or sodium bicarbonate daily.
Apply vitamin A and D ointments to combat mucosal degeneration.
Anti-infection: Streptomycin often used topical.
Vaccine therapy has also shown results.
Surgery to narrow the nasal passages by inserting acrylic plastic (Erie’s surgery) or grafting under the mucous membrane of ribs, pelvic crest bone.
