Heterogeneous skin: Fresh frog skin, freeze-dried frog skin, sterilized by gamma rays, fresh frozen pigskin.

Purpose

Pain relief for patients.

Limit fluid loss, blood through the wound.

Limit burn infection.

Stimulates epithelialization in superficial burns, stimulates granulation in deep burns.

Materials derived from leather:

Heterogeneous skin: Fresh frog skin, freeze-dried frog skin, sterilized by gamma rays, fresh frozen pigskin.

Homogenous skin: cadaveric skin, skin taken from relatives of burns.

Materials of synthetic biological origin: Biobrane, Integra, Dermagraft, collagen, ...

Point:

Burns level II, III clean background.

Apply to the base of the wound after necrosis has been removed.

Applying bad granular tissue, preparing autologous skin graft.

Apply to large areas of granulation tissue (when self-skin grafting is not available)

Contraindications:

Necrosis burns deeply.

The wound burns dirty and heavily polluted.
