Orgasmic parietal syndrome - symptoms and causes
Orgasmic parietal syndrome is an emergency condition with high mortality and morbidity. Typically, the inflammatory mass spreads in the socket causing pain and bulging eyes. Ocular protrusions fill the space where the orbital components are pressed.
Description
The orbit is a cranial nerve syndrome with protrusion of the eye, involving elements in the orbit of the eye:
Nervous nerve (II wire).
The motor nerve (III wire).
Nerve pulley (IV cord).
Branch of the trigeminal nerve (V1 cord).
External optic nerve (VI cord).
Sympathetic fibres.
Reason
Frequent
Tolosa – Hunt syndrome.
Eye socket granules.
Less common
Nasal mucor fungal infection.
Hemorrhage behind the ball screen.
Eye disease caused by Graves' disease.

Symptoms and sequelae |
Cranial nerve damage |
• Blurred vision, reduced afferent pupil function, reduced colour discrimination, decreased light perception |
→ Neuropathy (II) |
• Paralysis of the eye socket muscles • Dilated pupils and low light reflection |
→ Psycho-optic nerve (III) |
• Upper cross muscle paralysis |
→ Nerve pulley (IV) |
• Decreased or loses sensation in the optic nerve • Decreased corneal sensation |
→ Tricuspid nerve (V1) |
• Paralysis of the muscles |
→ Epidural (VI) |
Board. Mechanism of clinical symptoms in nasopharyngeal syndrome
Mechanism
Typically, the inflammatory mass spreads in the socket causing pain and bulging eyes. Ocular protrusions fill the space where the orbital components are pressed. Unlike in cavernous sinus syndrome, the patient typically develops early optic nerve symptoms such as decreased vision or pupil function loss due to the afferent pathway. The mechanism for the clinical symptoms of the socket peak syndrome is listed in the table.
Meaning
Orgasmic parietal syndrome is an emergency condition with high mortality and morbidity.
